Bronze Africa ‘Charge of the Light Brigade’

Little Elephants need very little encouragement to play. It is interesting to watch because their faces do not display features that pertain to the playful mood like a cat or a dog which has facial displays that show various moods. The Elephant makes up for this by the fact that they use their ears and their trunks to facilitate this with great effect.

Generally the play involves a display of bravado and most of the action revolves around charging some perceived or visible enemy in the form of a bird or lizard or some other equally harmless adversary like a Land Cruiser. The mothers appear completely oblivious when this is all going on but are quick to intervene if they perceive any possible danger to the calf. Here then is ‘The Charge Of The Light Brigade’ and I leave the rest to your imagination.
