I call this sculpture ‘Closing In The Long Grass’. I feel that anyone who may envisage the terrain where these animals occur would imagine the short grass plains of the Serengeti or the sand deserts of the Savuti in Botswana. Well they occur in those places of course but I have also seen them in the Mulobezi Game Management Area in Zambia and the Selous Game Reserve in Tanzania where the grass was anything but short. Here they have to hunt in tall grass and their under bellies are shaved clean by the grass they are forced to hunt in. Here then is how I see these splendid, highly successful little hunters.
