Three New Pieces in the Gallery

The War Department and Lord Derby sculptures sold out at the beginning of the year. Due to the popularity of those 2 pieces I thought it was a good idea to made a new sculpture of an Eland Bull in an edition of 12 which I am very pleased with. It’s very dynamic, attempting to capture that classic gait of the eland when it’s trotting away at a very deceptive speed.

I continue to grow the collection of the ever-popular Buffalo pieces with For Whom the Bell Tolls. A classic pose into which you can read anything. Are you threatened? Is he threatened?

And finally I am very happy to bring you a new study of 3 Wild Dogs running through long grass. One dog jumping – leaping up to see what’s ahead, another following the scent trail and the third just keeping up the pace. A fascinating piece to make.

Time for a refresh

Technology moves on and so it was time for a brand new Bronze Africa website. A big improvement on the previous version – it’s now a responsive site which means that if you are looking at this on your smartphone or tablet device you should be having a much better browsing experience. Enlarged images and improved category navigation make for a more realistic ‘gallery’ experience. We will continue to strive on improving the image quality and overall presentation with some exciting new features coming in December and January. I hope you enjoy it and please feel free to leave me any comments you might have. Always happy to receive feedback.

And of course sharing this on your Facebook page or perhaps pinning the gallery images to your Pinterest board always helps with keeping my google ranking in good shape so if you like sharing please don’t hesitate. Thanks.

A new Warthog Sculpture is ready for the foundry

Head on over to this link to view the new warthog sculpture that is now ready for casting.

This new Warthog sculpture has a message. The sow is looking to see what else is out there to come and gobble the last one of her brood while the young pig is wondering what the fuss is about, not realising that he is the target, hence the quizzical look.

October Update

The 44th Waterfowl Festival in Easton, Maryland is to be held next month November 14th, 15th and 16th and this year sculpture and art will be exhibited in the same location. I will be setting up in the Avalon Gallery – located in the historic Avalon Theatre at the corner of Harrison and Dover Streets.

I have been afforded the opportunity to display my sculptures along with another sculptor and selected flat artists at a private showing for Merril Lynch clients will take place in the Avalon Gallery. This is happening on Wednesday 12th, 6.00pm to 8.30pm.

The Premiere Night Party will be on Thursday 13th, 4.30pm to 9.00pm – a good opportunity to experience an exclusive preview of this year’s art and to mingle with the artists.

Please note that, along with three new sculptures and others, I will have the very last in the edition of The War Department with me as well as the last but one of the Lord Derby’s Eland.

Di and I are lucky enough to be flying to Australia on the 10th December to be with our son Riley and his wife Laura and her family for Christmas. Fishing and having fun in the southern sunshine sure beats the winter of the north!

We will be back in time for Dallas Safari Club January 15th to 18th in Booth 2358.

That’s followed by SCI, Las Vegas February 4th to 7th in Booth 2179 and then, SEWE, Charleston, South Carolina – February 13th, 14th and 15th at Charleston Place Hotel.

We look forward to seeing you at whatever venue you are able to make it to!

Get Nervous is in the Gallery

My latest piece is titled ‘Get Nervous.’ It can be a bookend or it can be a stand-alone piece. The title is inspired by my good friend and professional hunter, Lou Hallamore, and I know many of you will understand that moment when, as Lou would say, it’s time to get nervous. Find out a bit more about the piece here.
