Bronze Africa ‘Cool Wallow’

The sculpture depicts a typical behavior pattern of a warthog on a hot day. They will find a depression with mud in it and lay themselves down in the mud to cool off and at the same time cover themselves with mud to protect against insect bites when the mud dries on the skin. The scene is often comical due to the antics of the pig as they go about their mud bath.
